Search Queries
A name or place entered into a search box is sent to the outside provider that operates that feature. The provider processes the query and supplies its own response. Buchanan County Criminal History does not keep or log those search terms on its own systems.
Messages and Contact Submissions
When a visitor sends an email, the message may be retained so a response can be prepared. It remains within the operating team unless disclosure is required by a valid legal obligation.
Data We Gather Automatically

No Criminal-Record Data on File
Buchanan County Criminal History does not maintain, assemble, or sell a database of personal criminal records. It identifies official sources such as the Buchanan County Sheriff, the Circuit Clerk, Missouri Case.net, the Missouri State Highway Patrol Criminal Justice Information Services Division, MACHS, and the Missouri Sex Offender Registry. Missouri criminal-history collection and dissemination are governed by RSMo sections 43.500 through 43.543, while public-government records are addressed by the Missouri Sunshine Law in chapter 610 and court access by Missouri Court Operating Rule 2. Visitor information is not assembled into a consumer report, and this website is not a consumer reporting agency under the Fair Credit Reporting Act.
Third-Party Search Partners
Outside companies power the search boxes. Information submitted through one of those features is governed by that provider’s privacy policy rather than this policy. Each provider sets its own retention and disclosure practices. Visitors should read those terms before sending a query.
Links to Other Websites
Links may lead to the Buchanan County government, its official court routes, the county sheriff, Missouri state agencies, legal resources, or outside search services. Once a visitor follows an external link, the destination’s privacy rules apply. Review those rules before providing personal information.
Advertising companies may use their own systems to observe activity across websites and select relevant advertisements. Buchanan County Criminal History does not operate that cross-site tracking.
