Accuracy of Information
Agencies can change their hours, fees, telephone numbers, addresses, and procedures. Court and criminal-history systems also receive new filings and disposition reports. Buchanan County Criminal History cannot promise that every published detail is complete or current. Confirm the procedure, counter hours, and amount due with the responsible office before visiting or sending payment.
An Arrest Is Not a Conviction
An arrest does not prove guilt. A prosecutor may decline, change, or dismiss a charge, and a court may enter an acquittal or another disposition. A booking record does not show the final result by itself. Missouri records may later be corrected, closed, or expunged under chapter 610. Check the current disposition with the Buchanan County Circuit Clerk, the agency that created the arrest record, or the Missouri State Highway Patrol Criminal Justice Information Services Division.
A record is a starting point, not a verdict. Only its official custodian can confirm its present contents, disposition, and public-access status.
